The Choice
The Philosophy

The track training days have been developed to the same philosophy as the First Class Advanced road riding courses.

The emphasis is on bike control, safety and an understanding of how the bike works. This combination is aimed at developing confidence in riders of any ability.

An informal atmosphere ensures the perfect environment for learning and understanding. Our fully qualified instructors assess the abilities of all the riders in the group, identifying those who need to be given a little extra attention without making them feel inadequate. More proficient riders will not be held back by the abilities of other riders in the group.

Included in the one day course are the use of our Latest spec CBR-600 Honda's, one-piece leathers and other kit, so you don’t have to worry about your pride and joy.

The day starts at the Darley Moor track in Derbyshire at 9.30am.

Initial Briefing

Kitting yourself out. Instructor introduction, track safety and rules briefing and discussion of your personal goals.

Introductory Track Session

A ten minute session that allows riders to acclimatise to our unique Corner Cone System, to become familiar with the school’s Latest spec CBR-600 Honda's and for the instructors to get an idea of each rider’s potential.

Lesson 1 - Turning

Dealing with rider posture, counter-steering and weight transfer. Riders are divided into two groups and given a chance to practice the turning techniques just learned.

Lesson 2 - Hard Braking

One of the most critical skills in modern biking. Riders are told about the physics of braking and how these affect the balance of a bike. Students then practice stopping from speed.

Lunch

Is included in this full day course

Including discussion on tyre and suspension dynamics.

Afternoon Track Sessions

Sessions of free time. Groups of four riders are on-track for 12 minute sessions, with instructors mixing with riders to help with positioning and lines.

Conclusion
